As early as the late 19th century, Indonesia began providing legal services in intellectual property to the public and gradually established a comprehensive system of intellectual property laws and regulations, along with a unified administrative authority for intellectual property. The Republic of Indonesia is a member of WIPO and a signatory to conventions and treaties such as the Hague Agreement, the Paris Convention for the Protection of Industrial Property, and the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT).

- Inventor: Name, address, nationality
- Design Name (in Chinese and foreign languages)
- Product Design Drawings: Perspective view (exploded view, if applicable) and six orthographic views (front, rear, left, right, top, and bottom). The scale must be consistent across all views.
- Priority Information (if applicable): A copy of the priority document is required (DAS codes are not accepted).
