Mongolian Trademark Registration
In Mongolia, trademark registration follows the 'first-to-file' principle, and the official application language is Mongolian. Mongolia is also a signatory to international intellectual property treaties such as the Paris Convention, Madrid Agreement, Nice Agreement, Singapore Treaty on the Law of Trademarks, and Nairobi Treaty.
Mongolia adopts the 11th edition of the Nice Classification for goods and services descriptions and allows single-class and multi-class applications. Elements eligible for trademark registration in Mongolia include word marks, device marks, three-dimensional signs, color combinations, etc.
