United Arab Emirates Trademark Registration
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is a federal state located in West Asia, consisting of seven emirates: Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Fujairah, and Ras Al Khaimah.

Note: The deadline for trademark application in the UAE is 6 months from the priority date. A certified copy of the priority document and its Arabic and English translations must be submitted together with the application.
Trademark Registration Process
- Application Submission
- Examination: 90 days, including formal and substantive examination.
- Publication/Opposition: 30 days
- Registration: If no opposition is filed or if the opposition is rejected during the publication period, the registration fee must be paid, and the registration certificate will be issued.

Validity Period and Renewal
A trademark is valid for 10 years from the filing date. Renewal can be applied for within the last year of validity or within a 3-month grace period after expiration. Each renewal extends the validity by 10 years.
